Minister Lightbound announces measures to assist Canada Post amid financial hurdles

Speaking with reporters on Parliament Hill, federal Public Works Minister Joël Lightbound discusses “new measures to address the challenges facing Canada Post and advance its transformation.”

In an August release, the Crown corporation reported a loss before tax of $407 million in the second quarter of 2025 amid a significant drop in parcel revenue. (September 25, 2025)
