À la suite de l’adoption du projet de loi C-5 par la Chambre des Communes, le PM Mark Carney affirme que « l’objectif de la Loi sur l’unité de l’économie canadienne a été élaboré en reconnaissance de l’importance de protéger l’environnement et les droits des peuples autochtones. »
