“The G7 is diminishing in both influence and relevance” — Lloyd Axworthy

As the G7 Summit in Kananaskis comes to a close, former minister of foreign affairs Lloyd Axworthy tells CPAC’s Michael Serapio he believes the summits are “diminishing in both influence and relevance” given the lack of results to solve what he calls “world problems.” He cites the inaction on fossil fuels and the absence of a joint declaration towards the war in Ukraine as examples.
