As the G7 in Kananaskis approaches, former Canadian ambassador to Venezuela Ben Rowswell talks about how the list of invited countries (India, Saudi Arabia) shows that the “stakes” of the global meeting are now higher with the shifting of alliances between liberal democracies.

Charlie Angus, former NDP MP, held a news conference at parliament Wednesday morning to give an “indictment” of President Donald Trump ahead of his attendance of the G7. Angus discusses the threats Trump is posing to Canadian sovereignty and the international rule of order and comments on the NDP’s recent election losses and the party’s rebuilding.

Former BC cabinet minister and radio host Jas Johal says the BC NDP government is signaling a “soft no” to building a pipeline in the northern part of the province, despite the western premiers’ support for it, and shares what he is hearing from BC residents on the topic.
