Liberal MPs comment on “Golden Dome,” government priorities – May 28, 2025

As their party holds its weekly caucus meeting on Parliament Hill, ministers and Liberal MPs face questions on a number of topics, including U.S. President Donald Trump’s renewed 51st state talk, Canada’s potential participation in the American “Golden Dome” missile defence project, and their government’s priorities following their minority government win in the recent federal election.

Speaking with reporters are ministers Sean Fraser (justice), Steve MacKinnon (government House leader), David McGuinty (defence), Steven Guilbeault (heritage), Joël Lightbound (government transformation) and Heath MacDonald (agriculture), and MPs Ben Carr, Greg Fergus, Doug Eyolfson, Karina Gould, Judy Sgro, Chris Bittle, Fayçal El-Khoury, Salma Zahid, James Maloney.
