L’Essentiel : Défense de la souveraineté canadienne dans le discours du Trône – 27 mai 2025

Le roi Charles III a déclaré ce mardi matin, en lisant le discours du Trône, que « le gouvernement protégera la souveraineté du Canada. » Il a aussi pris la défense des valeurs, de la frontière et de l’identité du pays. Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance discute de l’influence qu’a pu avoir le président américain Donald Trump dans la rédaction du discours du Trône du gouvernement Carney avec Steven MacKinnon, leader du gouvernement à la Chambre des communes.

Nous prenons le pouls de la position conservatrice à propos du discours du Trône avec Luc Berthold, leader adjoint de l’opposition officielle à la Chambre des communes.

Nos analystes Tasha Kheiriddin et Jeremy Ghio abordent également les priorités qui y ont été énoncées.
