François-Philippe Champagne speaks with reporters as G7 finance ministers’ summit begins

Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne holds a news conference in Banff, Alta., as a three-day meeting of G7 finance ministers and central bank governors gets underway. He is joined by his Ukrainian counterpart Sergii Marchenko.

Champagne and Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem are co-hosting the summit, which will cover topics including the global economy, financial crime, and artificial intelligence. (May 20, 2025)
