Alberta to freeze industrial carbon price – May 12, 2025

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announces her government is freezing its industrial carbon price at the current rate of $95 per tonne of emissions.

She is joined at the news conference in Edmonton by Rebecca Schulz, the minister of environment and protected areas.
