Statement on the Murder of Harsimrat Randhawa

Hamilton, ON – Ned Kuruc, Conservative Candidate for Hamilton East—Stoney Creek, issued the following statement:

“I was devastated to learn of the senseless killing of Harsimrat Randhawa yesterday. My prayers go out to her family, friends, and all those who grieve her loss.

“Harsimrat came to Canada to study and to make a better life for herself. It is an outrage that she has been taken so soon.

“Our neighbourhoods weren’t always like this. Standing at a bus stop wasn’t something where you had to worry if you were taking your life in your hands.

“This has to stop. A 21-year-old student being gunned down can never be accepted as normal.

“That is why a new Conservative government will stop the crime, lock up dangerous criminals, and give repeat violent offenders jail, not bail. Only Conservatives will bring home safe streets for law-abiding Canadians–For a Change.”
