Stop The Liberal Crime Wave

It’s Time for a Change in BC.

Ottawa, ON – The Lost Liberal Decade has unleashed a wave of crime and chaos on BC’s streets. Violent crime is up 50%. Gun crime is up 116%. Car theft is up 45%. Human trafficking is up 83%. And extortion is up an eye-watering 357%.

In the last week alone, two VPD officers were set on fire, a security guard had his fingertip bitten off, and a 92-year-old Chinatown senior died after being brutally assaulted in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

Community advocates in Vancouver agree. Just four days ago, the executive director of a local DTES charity stated:

“As social-service providers in the DTES, we’ve often been protective or defensive when it comes to saying our community is unsafe, not wanting to add to the stigma.

“But I’ve seen violent attacks right outside my building, witnessed people die in broad daylight with dozens of people around, and even been caught in an altercation where I was pepper-sprayed.

“It’s hard to deny that things are increasingly unsafe. We need to do better.”

A vote for Mark Carney and a fourth Liberal term will mean more crime, more chaos, and less safety.

Conservatives will:

  • Impose life sentences for anyone who is convicted of serious human, gun, or fentanyl trafficking.
  • Create a new criminal offence for assaulting an intimate partner and pass a law to require the strictest possible bail conditions for anyone accused of intimate partner violence.
  • Make addiction recovery a reality for 50,000 Canadians and end the Liberals’ radical drug experiments.
  • Pass a Three Strikes and You’re Out law to ban bail, parole and house arrest for repeat serious criminals.
  • Restore the power for judges to keep multiple murderers behind bars for longer than 25 years by allowing consecutive periods of parole ineligibility.

Only a new Conservative government will stop the crime, lock up dangerous criminals, and give repeat violent offenders jail, not bail.

Only Conservatives will bring home safe streets for law-abiding Canadians–For a Change.
