Campaign Politics | Vote 2025 – Edmonton Centre/Edmonton Griesbach
Journalist Elissa Carpenter looks at the ridings of Edmonton Centre and Edmonton Griesbach. Both seats had close finishes in 2021 and in the case of Edmonton Griesbach there will be a re-match between the incumbent Blake Desjarlais of the NDP and the candidate he defeated in 2021 Kerry Diotte of the Conservatives. The others running here are Patrick Lennox of the Liberals and Michael Hunter of the Green Party.
In Edmonton Centre, the incumbent Liberal Randy Boissonault dropped out of the race just before the writ was dropped and he was promptly replaced by lawyer Eleanor Olszewski. Her main competition will be Sayid Ahmed of the Conservatives, who ran provincially under the Alberta United Conservative banner. School trustee and former journalist Trisha Estabrooks is running for the NDP.
