Auto sector rep. weighs in on the temporary Ingersoll GM assembly plant shutdown – April 11, 2025

GM Canada told employees at its CAMI assembly plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, that production would be temporarily suspended. One of the reasons cited by GM was the “less-than-expected” demand. CPAC’s Michael Serapio discusses the situation with Brian Kingston, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association.
