Ingersoll GM CAMI Assembly plant to be shutdown: interview with Unifor’s Lana Payne – April 10, 2025

GM Canada told employees at its CAMI assembly plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, that the production would be temporarily suspended. One of the reasons cited by GM was the “less-than-expected” demand. CPAC’s Michael Serapio discusses the situation with Lana Payne, the National President of Unifor, the union representing the affected workers at the plant.
