Pertes d’emploi en automobile : seulement le début, craint UNIFOR – 3 avril 2025

En réaction à l’imposition de droits de douane américains sur les voitures importées sur son territoire, Stellantis a annoncé avoir fermé son usine de Windsor pour une période de deux semaines, ce qui se traduit par des mises à pied de 3200 travailleurs. Selon le syndicat UNIFOR, ces mises à pied s’ajoutent aux 500 emplois déjà perdus au Québec depuis le début de la guerre tarifaire entre le Canada et les États-Unis. Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance discute de l’impact de ces tarifs sur le secteur automobile canadien, et les mesures d’aide qui devraient être déployées, avec l’adjoint au directeur québécois de UNIFOR, Renaud Plante.
