L’Essentiel : Les États-Unis s’en prennent à la loi 96 du Québec – 1er avril 2025

Selon un rapport publié par le Bureau du représentant américain au commerce des États-Unis, la loi 96 sur la protection du français, promulguée par le gouvernement du Québec, est une barrière commerciale. Tant le premier ministre du Québec que les chefs des partis politiques fédéraux ont réagi ce mardi. Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance discute des possibles contrecoups de la position américaine dans la présente campagne électorale au Canada à la veille de l’imposition de nouveaux tarifs par l’administration Trump avec la politologue Geneviève Tellier.

Mark Carney et Pierre Poilievre se sont engagés à défendre la mesure lors d’éventuelles négociations, ce dont doute le Bloc Québécois. Nous en discutons avec les anciens députés Don Boudria (Parti libéral), Lawrence Cannon (Parti conservateur) et Kristina Michaud (Bloc Québécois).

Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance discute des impacts potentiels au Québec des tarifs du président américain Donald Trump promis pour mercredi avec Norma Kozhaya, vice-présidente à la recherche et économiste en chef du Conseil du patronat du Québec.
