Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre holds a campaign event in Brampton, Ont., to announce his party’s pledge to cut personal income taxes for Canadians, promising a reduction in the lowest tax bracket from 15 per cent to 12.75 per cent. Responding to questions from the press, Poilievre comments on Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s recent interview with American news outlet Breitbart, in which she appeared to suggest that she asked the Trump administration in the U.S. to pause tariffs on Canadian goods to help Poilievre and the Conservatives win the election.
