PM Mark Carney holds a news conference after meeting with premiers – March 21, 2025

Prime Minister Mark Carney speaks with reporters in Ottawa after hosting a meeting with Canada’s provincial and territorial leaders. Interprovincial trade was on the agenda for the meeting, which comes days before a federal election is likely to be called. In his remarks, the prime minister announces that the first ministers have agreed on the development of a national trade and energy corridor strategy.
