L’Essentiel : Les ombres de Trump et Poutine planent à Charlevoix – 13 mars 2025

Rencontre des ministres des Affaires étrangères du G7 sous tension à Charlevoix. La déclaration de Vladimir Poutine affirmant qu’il pouvait être favorable à un cessez-le-feu en Ukraine a retenu l’attention, tout comme les menaces d’annexion du Canada par le président Trump. Notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance a abordé ces points avec la journaliste Émilie Bergeron de La Presse canadienne, qui est sur place, ainsi qu’avec l’ancienne ambassadrice du Canada à l’ONU Louise Blais.

Le premier ministre désigné, Mark Carney, s’affaire à redistribuer les cartes en vue de la présentation de son cabinet des ministres ce vendredi matin. Selon des informations préliminaires, le nouveau cabinet compterait une vingtaine de ministres de moins que sous l’ère Trudeau. Nous discutons de ce qu’il faudra surveiller avec Christopher Nardi, courriériste parlementaire au National Post.
