L’Essentiel : Affrontement Zelensky-Trump : du jamais vu en diplomatie internationale – 28 fév. 2025

La rencontre entre Volodimyr Zelensky et Donald Trump a tourné au vinaigre alors qu’une discussion orageuse dans le bureau ovale a incité le président Zelensky à quitter précipitamment la Maison-Blanche. Les caméras du monde entier ont capté ces moments jamais vus dans la diplomatie internationale. Comment le peuple de l’Ukraine et la diaspora ukrainienne ont-ils reçu cette gifle lancée au visage de Zelinsky ? Cette rupture des relations entre les États-Unis et l’Ukraine a soulevé l’inquiétude des chefs d’État des grandes capitales de l’Union européenne qui ont offert leur support à l’Ukraine. Pour discuter des événements de la journée, notre animatrice Catherine Lafrance reçoit Tetyana Ogarkova, journaliste et responsable du département international à Ukraine Crisis Media Center, l’ex-ambassadrice du Canada en Russie, Ann Leahy et Michael Shwec, président du Congrès canadien ukrainien pour le Québec.
