NDP leader Jagmeet Singh issued the following statement:

“As thousands of Canadian students wear pink as a sign of solidarity against bullying, I alongside all New Democrats, renew my pledge to help build a country that is kind, compassionate and supportive.

When we all stand together, we send a clear message that we don’t tolerate bullies. I believe in standing up to those who prey on people they see as weaker, smaller, or different.

Today, I want all students wearing pink and taking a stand against bullying to know that I stand with you. Together, let’s lead by example, let’s lead with kindness, and let’s stand up to bullies wherever we find them.”
