Enjoy this excerpt from our Sounds in Sand concert experience. This is the Kamloops Symphony under the direction of Dina Gilbert performing “Tuileries (Children’s Quarrel after Games)” from Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition”, arranged by Julian Yu.

The Kamloops Symphony adds a visual twist to our concert experiences with Russian sand artists Marina & Eva Sosnina crafting elegant real-time artwork in sync with the music in a unique, intercontinental collaboration. This mother-daughter duo will “paint” along to a “modestly modern” arrangement of Mussorgsky’s classic “Pictures at an Exhibition” for chamber orchestra and create a brand-new work along to Canadian composer Iman Habibi’s “Radiant Light”.
