CLC President Bea Bruske available after U.S. – Canada trade talks in Washington, D.C.

February 12, 2025 at 6:00 am  Labour

WASHINGTON, D.C.—A delegation of American and Canadian labour leaders will meet with Canadian Premiers in Washington, D.C., today at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the damage the U.S. tariffs will have on workers and industries on both sides of the border. The Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) President Bea Bruske will be available to speak to the media before and after this meeting.

The meeting will focus on the economic consequences of U.S. tariffs on Canadian goods and services, emphasizing how these measures threaten jobs, increase costs for businesses and consumers, and weaken the long-standing economic partnership between Canada and the United States.

As part of broader efforts to push back against tariffs, labour leaders will make the case for policies that strengthen the economic ties that support good jobs on both sides of the border.
