Manitoba announces measures to combat money laundering – February 3, 2025

Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew holds a news conference in Winnipeg to announce measures aimed at addressing money laundering by directing casinos operated by Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries (MBLL) to report suspicious transactions to local and federal law enforcement. The government also announces an investment of $325,000 in surveillance equipment for MBLL.

He is joined by Matt Wiebe, the provincial justice minister, and Gerry Sul, president and CEO of Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries.
