HVAC sector calls on federal government to avert U.S. tariffs – January 31, 2025

Martin Luymes, vice-president of government and stakeholder relations at the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada, holds a news conference in Ottawa. The institute is calling on the federal government to negotiate “vigorously and creatively” to avert potential tariffs, which U.S. President Donald Trump has said could take effect as soon as February 1.
