Jagmeet Singh and labour leaders address U.S. tariff threat – January 30, 2025

In Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and several labour leaders discuss the looming U.S. tariff threat and its potential impact on Canadian jobs. U.S. President Donald Trump has said that 25 per cent tariffs on Canadian goods could take effect as soon as February 1.

Singh is joined by Marty Warren (national director of the United Steelworkers union), Kevon Stewart (director of United Steelworkers District 6), and Bea Bruske (president of the Canadian Labour Congress).
