In Ottawa, Families Minister Jenna Sudds and Public Safety Minister David McGuinty announce a federal investment of $18 million for the city’s transit system. OC Transpo, the city transit authority, will receive annual funding of $180 million over 10 years.

The ministers are joined by Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe and Liberal MPs Mona Fortier, Yasir Naqvi, and Anita Vandenbeld.

They face questions from reporters on Liberal MP Chandra Arya being barred from running in the party leadership race.
