Ministers on tariff threat, Canada-U.S. relations – January 20, 2025

Facing questions on the tariff threat are Ministers Mélanie Joly (foreign affairs), David McGuinty (public safety), Dominic LeBlanc (finance, intergovernmental affairs), Mark Holland (health), Jonathan Wilkinson (natural resources), Steven Guilbeault (environment) and Marci Ien (women and gender equality). Wilkinson and Guilbeault also discuss the environmental policies of the Trump administration and the impact that may have on Canada. Guilbeault comments as well on the future of carbon pricing in wake of Liberal leadership contenders pledging to get rid of the consumer price on carbon.
