B.C. Premier David Eby comments on U.S. tariff threat – January 16, 2025

British Columbia Premier David Eby and provincial Finance Minister Brenda Bailey present an impact report on the potential harms that the Trump tariffs might have on the province. It is projected that real GDP, employment rates, corporate profits, and key revenue streams will result in losses.

Premier Eby also responds to questions on possible retaliatory measures using B.C. lumber, energy and minerals, as well as other options.
