Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe makes an announcement in Regina on the government’s new plan to bolster security at the U.S. border. Among other measures, the plan involves the deployment of 16 provincial officers to high priority areas as well as an increase in the number of officers to support federal security operations at the border. The provincial strategy comes ahead of tomorrow’s first ministers’ meeting in Ottawa and U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
