On Parliament Hill, Ministers Dominic LeBlanc (public safety), Anita Anand (Treasury Board president), Marc Miller (immigration), François-Philippe Champagne (innovation), Bill Blair (defence) and Kirsten Hillman, Canada’s ambassador to the U.S., speak to the media as the Cabinet Committee on Canada-U.S. Relations meets. The Prime Minister’s Office recently revived the committee after Donald Trump secured a second term as president of the United States. They face questions on the future of free trade with the U.S., border concerns and the Biden administration’s decision to authorize Ukraine to strike targets inside Russia with long-range missiles supplied by the United States.
