NDP-Liberals and Bloc Stop Carbon Tax Carney’s Testimony On Egregious Conflicts Of Interest

Ottawa, ON – After nine years, the NDP-Liberal Government is not worth the cost or the corruption. Since Justin Trudeau gave Carbon Tax Carney sweeping powers over Canadians, while shielding him from accountability and Canada’s ethics laws, Carney has been engulfed in multiple conflicts of interest.

For this reason, Common Sense Conservatives proposed a motion that would’ve compelled Carbon Tax Carney to testify on his numerous conflicts of interest. This motion would’ve required Carbon Tax Carney to testify within the next 21 days, but the NDP-Liberals and the Bloc decided again to protect him from scrutiny by blocking this motion.

Since Trudeau appointed Carbon Tax Carney as the NDP-Liberal government’s top economic advisor, numerous ethical problems have emerged. A few weeks after he started, his company, Brookfield, began to seek billions of taxpayer dollars from the federal government and Canadian pension funds. Brookfield’s 2023 financial report shows that Carney holds $1 million in stock options in their firm, meaning Carney would personally benefit if he advises Trudeau to grant Brookfield’s request.

A few months later, Brookfield announced that they were fleeing the economic misery Trudeau had created in Canada by moving their headquarters to New York City, all while Carney advises Trudeau to continue with his punishing taxes and inflationary spending.

On top of this, Carbon Tax Carney’s credit card company, Stripe, is now gouging Canadian small businesses, while the United Kingdom’s Telegraph newspaper exposed him for illegally lobbying British government ministers to benefit his company.

Enough is enough. The NDP-Liberals and the Bloc must stop hiding Carbon Tax Carney from accountability on his egregious conflicts of interest. Only Common Sense Conservatives will end the corruption and bring home lower prices for Canadians.
