Trudeau And The Bloc Have Let Crime Spiral Out Of Control In Quebec

Quebec City, QC – After nine years, Justin Trudeau with the support of the Bloc have unleashed crime, chaos and disorder across Quebec. Since Trudeau first became Prime Minister in 2015, violent crime has increased by 51 percent in Quebec while homicides have increased by 40 percent. In Quebec City, violent crime has increased by 43 percent since 2015. Sexual assaults and car theft across Quebec have also skyrocketed by 125 and 87 percent, respectively.

It wasn’t like this before Justin Trudeau. His government created a crime wave with their reckless catch-and-release policies. Laws like Bill C-5 repealed mandatory jail time for violent offenders while Bill C-75 gave bail to repeat criminals, setting them loose on our streets.

Both times, the Bloc decided to support Trudeau’s dangerous catch-and-release policies, and now they are propping up Justin Trudeau’s failed government, even though they refuse to clamp down on the criminals who are sowing chaos in our communities.

This is not the first time Justin Trudeau and the Bloc have joined forces to make Quebec less safe. Last year, the Liberals and the Bloc banded together to defeat a Common Sense Conservative motion that would’ve made sure the most despicable criminals like Paul Bernardo and Luka Magnotta remained in maximum security.

Justin Trudeau and his supporters in the Bloc are not worth the crime. Pierre Poilievre and the Common Sense Conservatives will bring home safe streets by repealing Trudeau’s catch-and-release laws and keeping repeat violent offenders behind bars.
