Your career path in power engineering starts with post-secondary education.

And at Thompson Rivers University, we offer the hands-on, career-ready Power Engineering Certificate.

As a power engineer, you’ll maintain and operate heating and power plants, refrigeration systems and equipment like pumps, compressors, steam turbines, electrical generators and water treatment systems.

Upon completion of the two-year diploma, you will become a certified 3rd class power engineer.

Graduates work in commercial facilities including hospitals, schools, mills, and power generation stations to name a few.

At this information session, you will learn admission requirements, the relevant curriculum, career opportunities and the resources available to you to succeed at TRU.
