Northwest Territories leaders hold a news conference in Ottawa – October 8, 2024

Five political leaders from the Northwest Territories hold a news conference on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. They are part of a delegation visiting the national capital to meet with federal ministers and officials, and discuss the role the North will play in Canada’s future.

Speaking with reporters are Northwest Territories Premier R.J. Simpson and Deputy Premier Caroline Wawzonek, as well as Danny Gaudet (Délı̨nę Got’ınę government), Grand Chief Jackson Lafferty (Tłı̨chǫ government), and chairperson Charles McNeely (Sahtu Secretariat Inc.)
