Two federal byelections will be held on September 16 in Montréal and Winnipeg with a lot at stake for the Liberals and NDP as both parties look for some electoral wins amid low national polling numbers.

Here’s our preview of the contests in LaSalle-Émard-Verdun and Elmwood-Transcona.
