KAMLOOPS — Thompson Rivers University (TRU) throws open the doors at the Kamloops campus for everyone to join in this year’s Open House on Saturday, October 19, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The event begins with check-in at 9 a.m. and kick off at 9:30 a.m. Open House headquarters are just outside the Campus Activity Centre at the main stage.

This year’s Open House is designed to engage a diverse audience. Prospective students can explore TRU’s academic programs and connect with faculty and staff. Families and community members are also encouraged to interact with university representatives and enjoy a variety of activities, including the Haunted Physics Lab, Solar Stargazing and a Fun Zone featuring cotton candy, games and photo opportunities with Wolfie, the WolfPack mascot.

Additional attractions include a barbeque and prize draws, with giveaways such as a full-semester tuition credit, an Apple Watch, AirPods and TRU merchandise.

Amy Watters, interim manager, Strategic Enrolment Initiatives, says, “Our Open House provides an excellent opportunity for all attendees to experience what TRU has to offer. We have planned numerous activities to ensure a memorable and engaging day for students, families and community members alike. We look forward to welcoming everyone to our campus.”
