Canadian Party of Quebec leader speaks out against province’s French language bill – May 12, 2023

At a news conference on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canadian Party of Quebec Leader Colin Standish urges the federal government to disallow Bill 96, the Quebec government’s legislation to strengthen the provincial French language charter. He is joined by Myrtis Fossey, a clinical psychologist and former party candidate. Bill 96 received royal assent and passed into law in June 2022.
