Alberta Premier Danielle Smith provides update on wildfire situation – May 6, 2023

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith provides an update in Calgary on the wildfire situation in the province. She is joined by Mike Ellis, the provincial minister of public safety and emergency services, and Christie Tucker, information unit manager for Alberta Wildfire. In its most recent update, Alberta Wildfire said there were over 100 active wildfires burning throughout the province, with 36 of those fires considered out of control.
