Storm Open Exhibition Season With Win

The Kamloops Storm opened their 2024/2025 Exhibition season with a 6-3 win over the Merritt Centennials in Merritt Thursday night. The teams played through a scoreless first period and were tied 1-1 after two. Merritt took a brief 2-1 lead early in the third before Kamloops struck for 4 straight goals in a 5 minute span. Seamus Garagan led the way with two goals while Ryan Larsen had a goal and an assist. Kade Lawlor added two assists while Nolan MacPherson, Teghan Mullin, and Brandon Burns also scored for the visitors. Merritt outshot the Storm 32-25 with Mason Patterson getting the win in net making 29 saves. Kamloops will travel to Merritt once again Saturday for a 7pm exhibition game.
