Rustad contradicts his staff on who’s behind FireJohnRustad.ca

After dissatisfied B.C. Conservative Party members launched a website calling for John Rustad to be fired as leader, Rustad Conservative Campaign Director Angelo Isidouro attempted to deny that it came from party members.

Isidorou told 1130 NewsRadio yesterday: “In fact, evidence has been presented to us today that leads us to believe this is a third party.”

But John Rustad told CFAX this morning that the effort involved someone with access to the party database: “there appears to have been a breach of somebody using our database, which is illegal.”

Two party insiders also contradicted Isidorou.

Bruce Banman’s Campaign Manager Wyatt Claypool said that the site was made by people who sat on B.C. Conservative riding associations, and former B.C. Conservative Party President Kyle Delfing said “It’s legit. I know exactly who created it.”
