The Thompson Rivers University Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Anti-Racism is sponsoring Pride Open House on campus on Wed., Aug. 21 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Join the City of Kamloops and its partners at the TRU Campus Commons. This free event promises an afternoon filled with joy, connection and celebration in support of our 2SLGBTQPIA+ community members and allies.

The Pride Open House features a variety of fun activities and treats, including:

  • delicious food trucks: tantalize your taste buds
  • cotton candy: sweet, fluffy fun for everyone
  • face painting: so many rainbow options
  • exciting giveaways: don’t miss your chance to grab some fantastic swag

The City is thrilled to offer food vouchers to the first 100 visitors who arrive, so come early to enjoy a special treat!

In addition to the festivities, representatives from several local public and non-profit organizations will be on hand to share valuable information about their efforts to better serve and represent our 2SLGBTQPIA+ residents. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with those working hard to foster a more inclusive and supportive community.

Partnering organizations at the event will also include:

  • Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society
  • Kamloops Fire Rescue
