Christian Cullis to run in Toronto-St Paul’s
TORONTO – Christian Cullis will be the Green Party of Canada’s candidate in Toronto-St Paul’s by-election.
Christian has been a dedicated Green member since 2015 when he was inspired by Green advocates as a political science student at McMaster University. Over the past decade, he has run as Burlington’s Green Party of Canada candidate in the 2021 election and contributed to multiple Green campaigns. Since moving to Toronto, Christian has served as constituent coordinator for Ward 11 city councillor Dianne Saxe, former Green Party of Ontario deputy leader, managing communications and outreach strategy while advocating for sustainability.
With a Master’s in International Relations, Christian is passionate about creating a sustainable future for our children. He works closely with Green organizers in Toronto-St. Paul’s and University-Rosedale. Since January, Christian has collaborated with St. Paul’s activists to build ties across Toronto for the Toronto-St. Paul’s by-election. He believes this is a unique moment to take a stand. The Green Party of Canada is Christian’s first and only choice, and he is excited to convince mid-town residents to make it theirs too.
“Christian Cullis embodies the values and dedication of the Green Party,” said Leader Elizabeth May. “His unwavering commitment to sustainability and social justice makes him an exceptional candidate for Toronto-St. Paul’s. I am confident that Christian will inspire and lead the way towards a greener future.”
“Christian’s extensive experience and passion for environmental advocacy are exactly what Toronto-St. Paul’s needs,” said Deputy Leader Jonathan Pedneault. His leadership and vision will be invaluable in addressing the pressing challenges of our time. I am proud to support Christian and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will make.”
Voting in Toronto-St Paul’s will take place on June 24.
