NEW WESTMINSTER – New Democrat MLA Jennifer Whiteside says that funding will help ensure local fairs, festivals and events can provide fun and excitement for residents and visitors alike.

“As New Westminster residents, we cherish the diverse array of events that enrich our city’s cultural fabric and bring our community together,” said Jennifer Whiteside, MLA for New Westminster. “With the support of the B.C. Fairs, Festivals, and Events Fund, we’re making sure these traditions continue to thrive, fostering connection, celebration and economic vitality throughout our beloved city.”

In New Westminster, 10 events are receiving over $125,000 in funding, including the Performing Arts and Technology All Ages Festival, Royal City Musical Theatre Society productions of Mary Poppins and Mamma Mia!, Uptown Live, Coastal Dance Festival 2025 and more.
