Reality Check – Pierre Poilievre’s grapes of wrath « Canada’s NDP

Tonight, Poilievre won’t be whining about getting kicked out of the House of Commons.
Instead, he will be wined and dined by his wealthy corporate donors at The Wine Academy.
Haven’t heard of it before? It’s an exclusive club in Toronto with private memberships going for $3500 a year. For many Torontonians, that is the cost of 1 month’s rent and groceries.
When he spends so much time with billionaire donors, no wonder he is out-of-touch with the realities of working people.

With Pierre Poilievre, vintage wine and vintage tax breaks for billionaires, but cuts for everyone else.
“Every day, Pierre Poilievre shows Canadians who he really is. This guy isn’t in it for workers fighting for fair wages. He isn’t in it for parents who scrimp and save to put food on the table because of high grocery prices and he sure isn’t in it for seniors struggling on a fixed income. He’s working for the wealthy CEOs and the corporations they head,” said NDP MP Matthew Green (Hamilton Centre). “Poilievre is a corporate sellout. He will take away your dental care, your pensions and pharmacare, and still handout billions to big corporations that gouge you and your family. No wonder they’re wining and dining the leader of the Conservatives.”
