The services and amenities offered locally are integral to a thriving community. They have a direct correlation to quality of life, resident satisfaction, sense of community pride, and economic growth.

In 2003, the community of Kamloops voiced its future through a pivotal referendum, setting the stage for progress and unity. This collective decision kickstarted the construction in 2005 of what would become a cornerstone of community life – The Tournament Capital Centre (TCC). By 2007, the doors were open, welcoming residents to a new era of engagement, activity, and shared experiences.

Once a topic of debate, TCC has proven itself to be an invaluable asset to Kamloops. Reflecting on the journey from its contentious beginnings to becoming an invaluable community resource, TCC illustrates that embracing change and investing in multifunctional spaces can lead to unparalleled benefits for a community.

With our eyes set on continuous improvement, guided by the Recreation Master Plan, we are paving the way for informed and strategic enhancements to our community’s recreational facilities. This plan is a blueprint for our growth, ensuring that as Kamloops evolves, so do our spaces for play, health, and connection. Let’s keep building, innovating, and investing in facilities that unite and uplift us all.
