Canada’s NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh issued the following statement:

“As we kick off this year’s National Volunteer Week, it is important for us celebrate everyone who gives their time and energy to help build up our communities.
Fittingly, this year’s theme is “Every Moment Matters” and it aims to appreciate each volunteer and their charitable actions.
No good deed is too small to have an impact.
When people get together in compassion and empathy to help those in need, everyone benefits. By engaging with our communities, we create a healthier and happier society for all.
New Democrats understand that many people are struggling to keep up with the rising costs of living, but it is by working together and helping one another that we can move forward and create a better future.

We recognize and appreciate all of Canada’s volunteers who give so much to their community – thank you.”
