After spending most of the last week calling for spending cuts, Kevin Falcon abruptly switched his approach today and called for more social housing investments.
But his record shows which he would do: as Finance Minister, he cut social housing investments by a staggering 75%. Falcon’s own budget estimates documents set social housing spending for the 2012/13 budget year at just $56 million, down from $233 million the year before.
The 2024 BC NDP budget is set to invest $811 million in social housing.
