Canada’s NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh made the following statement:

“Across the world, families and friends are gathering to celebrate the dawn of a New Year, the year of the Dragon. The year of the Dragon symbolizes a year full of change, luck and success.

As loved ones gather together today to celebrate, I’m reminded of Canada’s rich multicultural roots and of the many contributions Asian Canadians have and continue to make to our communities.

On behalf of all New Democrats, I wish all Asian Canadians a joyful New Year. May it be filled with prosperity, success and happiness.

Gong Hey Fat Choy.

Gong Xi, Gong Xi.

Chúc mừng năm mới.”
