Lac le Jeune Lookout Hike

Lac le Jeune Lookout Hike

On a warm summer day we hiked from the Lac le Jeune Campground beach along trails into the Stake Lake system and up a single track trail to the Lac le Jeune Lookout.    From the viewpoint we have great views of Lac le Jeune and areas south and southeast.

Each time we do this hike, we pick a different route to loop back.    On this day we traversed east to the Ricochet Trail, then onto the Sidewinder Trail back to the start area.     Along the way were lots of wildflowers, birds, and summer growth.      All photos by the author.    Click an image for a lightbox view and a caption.

There are a number of possible routes to do the hike to the Lac le Jeune Lookout and a loop back.    It is a recommended moderate summer hike by whichever combination of trails and tracks you choose.

About KamloopsTrails

I started exploring this area in 1976 and I continue to follow tracks and routes wherever they lead, with the aid of map, compass, GPSr and camera. After many dead-ends, but also many discoveries, I chose to share this information. Getting out 12 months each year, I continue to explore trails, tracks, routes, and waterways of the Kamloops area and beyond.
