McArthur Island in Winter - Kamloops Trails

McArthur Island in Winter – Kamloops Trails

When conditions are difficult for hiking, we sometimes walk around McArthur Island once or twice.   The walking path is often kept clear and we can enjoy the trees, the river, and the views along the way.

On the former golf course, now a disc golf course area, there are a variety of trees, including some weeping willows.    There is also at least one larch along the path.

The featured stars of the circuit are the big willows and cottonwood trees overlooking the river bank.

McArthur Island is great spot for a quiet walk, especially when the sun shines in winter.    All photos taken by the author.    Click an image for a lightbox view and a caption.
